Also made me see the fascinating stepping-into-the-cauldron-episode episode at the end of The hearing trumpet in a new light -- great!

I´m somewhat partial to how you muse upon these themes, since last year a cover painting was made for the translation to Swedish of Down below/Little Francis, where some of the themes are present visually:

http://niklasnenzen.com/wp-content/gallery/book-illustration/i_underjorden.jpg

The illustration tried to depict LC:s awakening to the symbolical solar system and the ensuing redefinition of the inner/outer interface. Some details: her experience at the onset of the psychosis of having the city of Madrid in her cosmic belly, the sun-lump emerging on her left thigh while interned and her hand corresponding to the (episode about a) dying white colt in the Bois de Boulogne. (The hand-headed foal is taken from another of her paintings, can´t remember which one right now.)

Anyway, I suspected something interesting would come out of you reading that Wallace book -- and wow, I was right! : )NNhttp://www.niklasnenzen.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3841684678223214738.post-25863238632311700762013-10-02T12:36:49.298-07:002013-10-02T12:36:49.298-07:00A lovely post. As for liminal spaces, I think all kinds of life experiences can lead us to the threshold of a liminal space. If we live consciously, I think we can notice that we live in these points of transition and that a doorway to a different plane is open. But alas! I usually live just leisurely. When entering the liminal-threshold phase, I wonder if there are a lot of symbols.....☆sapphirehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13444996989089740303noreply@blogger.com
